Reformer Pilates Teacher Training

Our Reformer Pilates Teacher Training at Luna House is a depth-focused program rooted in classical Pilates principles while integrating contemporary movement science, biomechanics, and functional strength training.

This training is designed to go beyond memorizing exercises or choreography. Trainees develop a deep understanding of movement, learning not only how to perform the repertoire, but how to teach it safely, intelligently, and effectively across a wide range of bodies and abilities.

Throughout the program, students are guided through foundational, intermediate, and advanced Reformer repertoire while learning the purpose behind each movement, how to create intentional progressions, and how to adapt exercises based on client needs, injuries, mobility, and movement patterns.

A strong emphasis is placed on:
• Pilates principles and movement foundations
• Reformer setup, safety, and spring settings
• Foundational, intermediate, and advanced repertoire
• Anatomy, biomechanics, and functional movement
• Breath, core integration, and alignment
• Effective verbal, tactile, and visual cueing
• Transitions, pacing, and class flow
• Intelligent sequencing and programming
• Modifications, progressions, and injury considerations
• Teaching group classes versus private sessions
• Developing observation skills and understanding bodies in motion

Our approach prioritizes precision, control, adaptability, and long-term movement health rather than intensity alone. Trainees learn how to build purposeful, client-centered sessions that support strength, mobility, stability, and body awareness in a sustainable and meaningful way.

This program develops confident instructors who can think critically, communicate clearly, and create intelligent movement experiences grounded in both the classical roots of Pilates and a modern understanding of the body.
